The Namib is one of Earth's oldest deserts, and its towering red dunes at Sossusvlei reach 300m high. The iron-rich sand shifts from orange to deep crimson during golden hour. Morning fog from the Atlantic coast creates surreal conditions where dunes emerge from mist. The contrast between sunlit dune crests and blue shadowed valleys is unmatched.
