Best Month to Visit Antigua Guatemala

Editor's seasonal guidance

Best: Dry Season (November-April)

Subtropical highland with eternal spring-like temperatures and volcanic landscape

Antigua sits at 1,530m elevation in a valley surrounded by three volcanoes, creating a year-round spring climate nicknamed "Land of Eternal Spring." The dry season offers clear views of Volcán de Agua, Fuego, and Acatenango. Rainy season (May-October) brings afternoon downpours that usually clear by evening. Volcán de Fuego erupts regularly, occasionally dusting the city with fine ash.
